“When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones,” the family said in a statement. “It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for.”
Earlier on Thursday Larry’s family and close friends had joined him in Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday.Earlier last year it was revealed that Larry Hagman was suffering from ”treatable” throat cancer.
Hagman battled drugs and alcohol for years and had a liver transplant in 1995 and would reportedly drink bottles of champagne on the Dallas set.
He had married Maj Axelsson in 1954 and the couple had two children.Hagman’s official website was jammed on Saturday as fans heard of his death.
